What’s with the name  Made Men Apparel?

Well some people might know, but a Made Man is someone  who has officially been inducted into the mafia, beings  my last name is gambino, it fits perfectly. Also most mobsters have there own  classy style.  I don’t want Made Men Apparel to be classified into any certain genre of clothing.  In other words, depending on how you wear it will bring out the style.

So, what’s  your goal to accomplish with this Line?

My ultimate goal with Made Men Apparel is to be successful of coarse.  However also to bring a taste of style I feel the fashion industry has been missing. We got off to a good start, and we have huge plans in the future

I love the Steps to Success design. What’s the idea behind that one?

I couldn’t agree more, that one is my personal favorite, that was the first design I saw for the line and its also going to be the statue design of Made Men Apparel……. This design will eventually be available in all colors.  In the near future when I have alot of different colors, im planning on working with a lot of charities in a direction most clothing lines wont go,  every different color of the steps to success will be linked to certain charities and for every sale of each, a certain dollar amount of each purchase will be donated

What challenges have you faced when running your brand? How have you overcome them?

What haven’t we, haha? Really everything you’d expect a new clothing company to run into from b/s manufacturers to thinking you’ve just made that next big connection only for it to fall through.  To getting discouraged and thinking this whole thing was a bad idea because of a slump in sales.  Clothing is like Music, either people are feelin it  or their not! We’re learning though and I think we get better with every design and move we make.

Where do you see Made Men Apparel  in 3 years?

Honestly, I haven’t given that much thought, The way I think is you have to focus on what’s going on rite this moment and think of things to make your Line or company better for tomorrow.  The fashion industry is tricky,styles and trends change by season so in this industry you cant get ahead of yourself.  I will say I think this company has a lot of potential, and I have big expectations for the future, so ima leave it at that.

Can we expect anything besides t shirts and fitteds?

Of coarse this is only a start,  As of fall, Made Men Apparel jeans will be available,  In the next year people can expect a lot of new products.  Also look out for the Signature Series line which is crazy, and I just keep thinking of different ideas for that,  We plan to eventually tackle all aspects of the fashion industry including formal wear

Who is the mastermind behind the designs we have seen thus far?

Thank god for Craigslist, his name is Louie Guinsburg, hes 24, from Cape May, NJ, he is exactly what was looking for, a young, talented guy with a bright future, he made it possible for me to bring my idea to life.  I had 20 different people interested, and as soon as he redid the logo and sent over the Steps to Success shirt, my decision was made.  Not only are his design skills on point,but he understand the success with a clothing company is not an overnight accomplishment.  He understands my gratitude and appreciation for everything he does and knows a big reward is not far away.  

Where can people buy Made Men Apparel?

As of rite now, beings this is a new company we  do have a website www.officialmademenapparel.com , so of coarse you can purchase any Made Men Apparel on the site, we have a vintage shirt boutique in Cape May, NJ that carrys Made Men Apparel.  I have been in contact with a few boutiques on South  Street in Philadelphia, PA.  For the most part we will be advertising the website big time soon. Who knows things could change if we get an account with a big department store.

I’ve heard recently Made Men Apparel got invited to a big fashion event in Tampa, FL, is that true?

Ya it is, in fact, it was just a month after I launched the website, I received an email and contacted her shortly after to make sure she was legit.  I talked to her and got some details however, beings this project was incomplete,  I declined, so next year when I have jeans and people can see my vision a little more clearly there is a few events I would like to be a part of.  Trust me im not crazy for declining, I just felt that is a situation where I don’t want to show up with a few t shirts, if im gonna do it, it wont be half ass, and I want to turn heads , leave people thinking Where’d they come from?

Is there anything unique and unheard of Made Men Apparel will be doing in the future?

Everything! Haha from our plans to advertise to our plans to be so sincerely involved with charitys.  Since it is so hard to get noticed in the fashion industry, I feel the need to advertise in a way that will leave people no choice but to at least heard of Made Men Apparel.  Im not only in this for the money.  Fashion always changes so I like the challenge to keep up.  As far as charitys, I always dreamed of being in a position where I can give something back to people in need.  Hopefully im not far from that, and I hope im off to stating the next empire in the fashion industry.
